About    Me

From a young age, I have loved connecting deeply with people. I found that as others were drawn to my natural strengths of wisdom and discernment, my ability to see the depth, beauty, and potential in others grew. These strengths continued to develop through my family environment, friendships, and spirituality, resulting in an innate hunger for my own personal growth and the growth of those around me. Driven by my compassion and love of learning, the natural progression was to become a Professional Counselor.

After receiving my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University, my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and growing in my career as a Professional Counselor, I’ve decided to take my love for helping others a step further by creating Strong Living Co. I am passionate about helping others and providing a safe space for my clients to feel seen, heard, and known. Together, we will explore and heal the pain of the past to break free from the shame, guilt, and confusion that so easily holds us back from living authentically and with purpose. Strong Living Co’s mission is to empower others to move from where they are to where they want to be by taking steps towards holistic, balanced, strong living.

During this time, she was also working in private practice seeing individual clients with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, and other issues. Prior to graduate school, Betty worked in youth ministry and non-profit organizations including City of Refuge and Christian City Children’s Village gaining experience with abused and neglected children and adolescents.

My Philosophy

With selfless integrity, radical generosity, and humble obedience, I am constantly pursuing growth and development. I believe for us to feel ultimate fulfillment and joy in life, growth and development are needed in all aspects of our being - mind, body, and spirit. Knowing and feeling secure in my true identity enables me to empower others to embrace and unlock their full potential.

My investment in the world is displayed with passion and joy through my gifts of counseling, coaching, teaching, and connecting. As I pour into others, it will come from a place of overflow and abundance through prioritizing work-life balance, health and well-being, and building authentic community.

Strong Living Co’s name was born from a place of deep personal pain where I learned the importance and power of feeling strong in all areas of my life. Strong Living Co’s mission is to empower others to do the same. Thank you for allowing me the privilege to accompany you alongside your own journey toward holistic growth and healing.
